Resident Finds €8,000 in Wallet

During the summer of 2012, a resident of the Las Lomas Apartments discovered a wallet with €8,000 in cash inside.  The resident brought the wallet to the ICHA offices where Vice President of Community Development Andrew Herndon contacted UC Irvine Police.  The owner of the wallet was found and reunited with their wad of cash.   The owner of the wallet was leaving on an international trip and had inadvertently dropped the wallet from some carry-on luggage.  Though the resident who discovered the wallet wishes to remain anonymous, they were acknowledged by the UC Irvine Police Department at the annual UCIPD awards ceremony on May 8, 2013.
