LAS LOMAS RELOCATION INFORMATION & RESOURCES
As UCI grows and enjoys greater prestige and as the cost of market-rate housing continues to climb, the demand for housing increases. Over the last several months, UCI and the Irvine Campus Housing Authority (ICHA) have closely examined opportunities to meet our housing demands.
One of the areas the campus has identified for possible redevelopment is the current Las Lomas Apartments location, which will be decommissioned in the fall of 2020 and permanently closed at that time. We understand the impact that this event will have on your household.
In order to make the transition as seamless as possible, current Las Lomas residents are guaranteed alternative housing at the Miramonte Rental Townhomes, a new rental community for faculty and staff (view the Miramonte Rental Townhomes brochure by clicking on the button to the right). Miramonte will open for move-in beginning in May 2020 and continue leasing through August 2020.
We encourage all Las Lomas residents to attend one of the scheduled informational sessions where we will provide additional details and answer questions from residents:
